Sippet Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Sippet ("Sippet", "we", "us") is operated by Madeinoxy LLC, 30 N Gould St #36576 Sheridan WY 82801. This policy explains how we handle personal information on getsippet.com and in the Sippet mobile app. Questions: privacy@getsippet.com.

2. Information we collect

On the website

  • Waitlist details: your email address, and your first name if you give it.
  • Founding reservation: your name, email and payment details. Payments are processed by Stripe; we receive confirmation of payment but never your full card number.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, the link or ad that brought you here, browser and device type, collected with cookieless analytics and, if you allow it, the Meta Pixel.

In the app (once launched)

  • Account details: email address or Sign in with Apple ID, and app settings.
  • Drinking and wellness entries: drinks you log, your weekly plan and goals, alcohol-free days, optional craving or mood check-ins and notes. This is consumer health data; our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.
  • Pet progress: Mochi's growth, outfits and achievements.
  • Purchase status: whether you have an active subscription, provided by Apple or Google through our subscription service. We never receive your card details.
  • Support messages: anything you send us when you ask for help.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts or photos, and we don't read Apple Health data unless you choose to connect it.

3. How we use information

  • To run the waitlist, send launch news and process founding reservations and refunds.
  • To provide the app: logging, plans, Mochi's reactions, stats and reminders you turn on.
  • To answer support requests.
  • To measure which ads and pages bring sign-ups (website only, using sign-up and purchase events).
  • To keep Sippet secure and prevent fraud.
  • To improve Sippet using combined, de-identified statistics.
  • To meet legal obligations.

4. Advertising: what we share and what we never share

On the website, with your consent where required, the Meta Pixel tells Meta when someone views a page, joins the waitlist or makes a reservation, so we can measure our ads. We never share your drink log, goals, check-ins or any other health-related information with Meta or any advertiser. We do not sell personal information.

5. Who we share information with

  • Service providers that work on our behalf under contract: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (email), Stripe (payments), RevenueCat (app subscription status), and Apple and Google (app distribution and purchases).
  • Meta, limited to the website events described in section 4.
  • Legal reasons: when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
  • Business changes: if Sippet is merged or sold, with this policy continuing to apply.

6. How long we keep information

  • Waitlist details: until you unsubscribe, or 24 months after launch at most.
  • Reservation and payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically up to 7 years.
  • App data: until you delete your account. Deleted data is removed from backups within 30 days.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, download or delete your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or "sharing". Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser (we honor it), unsubscribe from any email, or contact privacy@getsippet.com. To delete your account, see getsippet.com/delete-account. We respond within 45 days and won't treat you differently for using your rights. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll notify you as the law requires.

9. Age limit

Sippet is for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21, and we delete it if we learn we have.

10. Where data is stored

We store data in the United States. If you use Sippet from elsewhere, your information is transferred to the US.

11. Changes

We'll post updates here with a new effective date and notify you of significant changes by email or in the app.
